Candlestick holders with tall taper candles are flooding the decor scene right now and oh how elegant they are! Everyone loves a beautiful candlestick right? I know I do. Even more, everyone loves a deal on a beautiful candlestick so I’ve put together 5 of the best sets of candlestick holders you can buy on Amazon.

I’m an Amazon seller so I know what to look for when purchasing on the massive sight and I’ll give you some tips and tricks of the trade when you’re looking for your perfect candlestick holders. Click the photo/affiliate links to send you to the items. So let’s get started!

CRYSTAL GLASS CANDLESTICK HOLDERS
These crystal glass candlestick holders are beautiful and reviewers on Amazon love them. They’re identical in size and shape, come packaged in a set of 2 and measure right at 8″ tall. As a set they weigh 2.2 lbs which is a nice weight but I’m not sure if that includes packaging so I would say they weigh 1 lb a piece to be safe. They run approximately $35 with free shipping. The seller doesn’t offer Prime Shipping but it looks like they can reach your shipping address in about a week and a half.
The candle holders are from the family-owned Godinger Silver Company, who since 1973 has specialized in handcrafted silver, pewter, crystal, stainless, and alternative metal giftware. I believe Godinger designs these in the United States and has them manufactured in China. Remember, if these were manufactured here in the States, you’d pay a much higher price- there’s always a trade-off.
The taper candle holders rate well on Amazon with a rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars. They have approximately 100 reviews which is enough reviews to get a good understanding of how people feel about the product.

In case you’re wondering what the difference between glass and crystal is, I found a good article about it here from Recognition Source. Overall it states that all crystal is glass, but not all glass is crystal. Crystal is a type of glass that contains lead. Only products with at least 24% of lead should be appropriately termed as “lead crystal”, anything less should be termed as “crystallin” or “crystal glass” which is why I’ve titled these as Crystal Glass instead of Crystal.
All things considered, I think these are a great choice when it comes to crystal glass candlesticks, they never go out of style.
DARK BRASS CANDLESTICK HOLDERS
If you can get these candlestick holders, grab them! Each time I try to stock these holders on the blog, the manufacturer has sold out of them. However, I found a link for them on Amazon so I thought I’d share it with you.
The taper holders are made of sturdy metal, they’re painted a dark gold color which makes them appear to have an aged brass look even though they’re not actually brass. They’re packaged as a set of 2-each with a different design and measure 9″ and 7″ tall. The candle holders are designed in-house in Greensboro, NC and are manufactured in either China or India which makes them affordable. The set is offered through Prime Shipping and runs $45 a piece.
They rate well on Amazon with a 4.3 out of 5 stars. They have approximately 20 reviews which isn’t a lot but I feel like the reviews are solid enough to count on.

There’s a two star review that states: “The color and style are accurate. The candlestick parts are screwed together. The machine threading is sloppy so the metal joint is grayish where the un-dyed metal shows because the pieces do not fit together properly. For me, not worth $43.00”.
My take on this review is, if you’re a stickler for perfect manufacturing (and good luck on that – you’ll pay a fortune) these may not be for you but for those who want a beautiful look at a good price, these are the way to go.
I think I like the candlestick holders so much because they’re classic. Gold is back and these make any space look great. Plus they’re not the same design which makes them interesting. All in all a great choice for any setting.
BLACK TAPER CANDLE HOLDERS
A set of three matte black taper candle holders that are really versatile and cool. These holders are the #1 sellers on Amazon in the Candlestick Holder category but dare I say it – they’re straight outta China from a Chinese seller and a Chinese manufacturer. I don’t know where you stand on the whole Chinese made/USA made argument and I’ll let you be the judge on that. What I do know is that these things are hot- people are buying them in droves. This product listing alone on Amazon has almost 700 reviews with a 4.6 out of 5 star rating.
Am I going to tell you they’re the best quality around, no. However, they are decent quality, they look great and they’re offered at a great price- approximately $25 for the set. Assembly is required for these but putting them together is so easy and can be done in just a few minutes, you don’t even need directions. The taper candle holders come as a set of 3 and measure 9.5″, 11.5″ and 13.5″ tall (candles not included).

These iron candlestick holders are great quality. They’re offered by Plow and Hearth which is a long-standing, reputable Home and Garden company here in the US. The candle holders are “made of forged iron, handcrafted with time-honored tradition by artisan blacksmiths”. So basically, these aren’t just manufactured and thrown on an assembly line- they’re individually made.
This also means no two are exactly alike and you can see that from the photo, which I think is really neat! These are 7.5″ tall and come with a felt bottom. They’re offered individually at $12.99 a piece +$4.99 shipping with no Prime Shipping offered. Looks like they can get them to your address in about a week.

The iron candlestick holder is a great bet if you’re looking for a good quality, smaller rustic candle holder. One note, Plow and Hearth makes a note that If needed, use a small amount of tin foil or a rubber band to secure your candle in an upright position within the base. I found a better solution on Amazon. This Sitck-Ums adhesive holds your taper candles in place so they don’t wobble around.
GOLD CANDLESTICK HOLDERS
Last but not least is a set of 3 gold candlestick holders. These roll in and out of stock on Amazon quickly so you may have to keep checking to get these guys.
The taper candle holders are made of metal and painted a nice antique gold color- not too brightly colored. They come with a felt bottom and measure 6″, 7.5″ and 9.5″ tall. The set of 3 is approximately $28 and offered with Prime Shipping. They’re designed and manufactured in China but I have these and I was quite surprised at their quality- they’re excellent for the price that I paid.
They’ve got 72 reviews on Amazon with a 4.7 out of 5 star rating which is excellent.

I wanted to leave you with a few tips. There are several things to remember when buying on Amazon.
AMAZON IS MADE UP OF SELLERS
Amazon is a marketplace for sellers with all kinds of brands. You may be buying from a large brand like Pottery Barn (just an example), the brand may be from the Mom and Pop store down he road, it may be a guy in his garage or a Chinese manufacturer. Very rarely is it an Amazon brand. (In the last couple of years Amazon has been developing their own brands-and honestly, they’re really good). Anyway, be aware of who you are buying from, read each listing thoroughly so you can find out what you’re truly getting.
ALWAYS READ CUSTOMER QUESTIONS
Always read the customer questions. They’re located about 3/4 of the way down the product page. You can learn a great deal about a product through customer questions. You can also learn a lot about the brand owner, do they answer customer questions thoroughly or even at all. If they don’t answer questions, move on to another listing because this brand doesn’t care about their customers.
CHECK THE DELIVERY DATES
Check delivery dates. If you’re a Prime member, make sure the listing is through Prime so you can receive your item within a day or two. If you’re not a Prime member, pay close attention to the delivery dates of your item- some items won’t ship for weeks if they come straight from the manufacturer, so be careful.
ALWAYS READ THE CUSTOMER REVIEWS
Check reviews. Reviews are listed near the end of the product page but always be sure to go through them. I like to click the “most recent” reviews to see how well the item has been reviewed in the last several weeks. Most items on Amazon are rated 4 1/2 stars or less, there are very, very few items that have 5 stars. I believe there are very few 5 star products because happy buyers are less likely to leave a good review. They buy their product, they’re happy- they go and use their product. Upset buyers want someone to know they are not happy with their purchase and are therefore much more likely to leave a bad review. That’s just my theory, so be sure to look at what the reviewer has to say about the product more than just looking at the number of stars in a review.
